Hi everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the Centre’s new Social Media Officer and Blogger. I live in Chesterfield with my wife, Michelle, and we bought our first motorhome just four years ago, during the pandemic. Since then, we’ve been regularly rallying and have had the chance to meet and connect with so many other rally enthusiasts, building friendships along the way.
The Centre’s blog page is already well laid out, with entries covering past rallies and regular updates from the Chairman. Going forward, I’d like to make the blog even more of a hub for rally stories, so I’m encouraging Rally Marshals and all members who have stories or photos to share to get in touch. I’ll happily post entries to keep the blog full of fresh content, and if there are multiple entries about the same rally, that’s fine! Each person’s experience can add a new perspective.
The blog offers a few advantages over Facebook, too. It’s accessible to anyone with an internet connection, whereas our Facebook group is only available to members. Not all Centre members are on Facebook, so the blog is a great alternative. Plus, blog entries provide an easy-to-navigate, chronological history that’s much simpler to search than scrolling back through old Facebook posts. We can also use past entries to help promote future rallies by linking back to previous events at the same location.
I’m looking forward to helping expand our blog content, so please feel free to reach out if you have something to share and please leave any comments in the box at the bottom of the page.
Regards,
Ant Turner
