Buxton Caravan and Motorhome Club 12th - 14th April 2024
The weather on the lead up to our rally at Buxton CAMC Club Site Rally has been again very wet and sadly we had to cancel our previous Easter Rally at Chatsworth due to saturated conditions... so it was great to get out and with the luxury of all the facilities a Club Site has to offer including Hard Standing!
The weather was actually fairly good considering what we have been experiencing and also being in Buxton! Some ralliers took advantage of staying the night before the rally and had a lovely sociable time sitting out in the sunshine which also stayed around for the start of the rally on Friday.
Sadly by Saturday it was not as favourable with showers on and off for the day, however this did not damper the spirits and everyone enjoyed the Saturday morning Sausage Cobs & Hash Browns provided by our marshals Simon, Andrea and Darcy!
Many decided to take a stroll into Buxton over the hill by Solomon's Temple and sample a beverage or two in some of the pubs and bars the town has to offer.
Flag was delivered by Rick Unwin our Social Secretary where a moments acknowledgement was given to the passing of centre member Karen Butt and also the first anniversary of Steve Parish's death.
